Asia and Oceania Desk Editor
Matthew is a sophomore hailing from Chapin, South Carolina. He is majoring in history, with a minor in political theory. Matthew has written for other Clemson magazines, including The Chronicle and The Aurantiaco, but he found that The Pendulum offers the unique opportunity to analyze and write about international affairs, which he took a particular liking to. He is looking forward to collaborating with writers contributing articles addressing important aspects in this historic age.
Michaela is a senior from Boston, Massachusetts majoring in marketing and minoring in accounting. She is involved with Alpha Chi Omega as she is the Website Chair, and is the Vice President of Public Relations for Clemson Panhellenic. These positions have been influential in her marketing background. She is also a part of the Sales Innovation Program, where she is passionate about looking into the financial sales industry for after graduation. The Pendulum is a fun way for Michaela to develop her graphic and marketing skills in the context of a magazine.

Blake is a junior political science major from northern New Jersey. She is an inspiring journalist and prefers to write primarily about politics. She enjoys the magazine writing style and is excited to be a contributing staff member at the Pendulum this year!
Katherine Harland is a junior majoring in Architecture and minoring in Mathematical Sciences and Music. Study abroad experiences through the National Scholars Program and a love of travel and history sparked her interest in supporting the Pendulum. She is excited to use her graphic design and visual arts skills to support the talented writers and collaborators on this semester's magazine.
Ian Stewart is a Structural Engineering graduate student from Columbia, SC. His project is helping the SCDOT repair many of our bridges, and after graduation he plans to work in structural forensics. This is his fourth year being involved with The Pendulum and he is looking forward to having a successful magazine release this semester!
Ava Barros is a senior Psychology major and Biology minor from Charleston, South Carolina. She wrote her first article for The Pendulum in the Fall of 2019 and joined staff in 2021. After writing her first article she developed a strong interest and passion for raising awareness of the many injustices that minority groups face all over the world, such as sexual assault within militaries and femicide in South Africa. She is looking forward to meeting and working with new writers this semester!

Josephine Rohrer is a senior Economics major from Beaufort, SC. Her combined interests in writing, learning more about the world around us, and organizational management made The Pendulum the perfect place for her. Entering her third year on staff, her passion for the magazine and its staff is undeniable.

Society, Culture, And Economics Desk Editor
Hannah Stewart is a master's student studying structural engineering. She graduated from Clemson in 2021 with a degree in civil engineering and a minor in English. She is from Chapin, SC and enjoys reading and playing tennis. She is interested in writing about the ways people perceive and interact with their surroundings, and she's excited to help and encourage young writers this year.
Europe Desk Editor
Gavin is a senior from Summerville, South Carolina majoring in Mechanical Engineering, and minoring in History. While participating in the EUREKA! Program before his freshman year, he was assigned to a political science project. By the end, he wrote a roughly thirty-page report on the subject. This experience made him realize how much he loved writing on international politics, and as a result, he joined The Pendulum as a writer the first semester of his freshman year. He has been an editor for five semesters, and is looking forward to what this year will bring to The Pendulum.
Middle East and Africa Desk Editor
Maddie is a senior from Chapin, SC majoring in Political Science. She has long been an avid follower of international politics especially as they relate to women's and poverty issues. Her passion lies in development and poverty policy, which she has explored in her previous articles for the Pendulum and the Aurantiaco, another Clemson student publication. Maddie loves the thoughtful, well-researched articles that the Pendulum publishes on important world issues and is excited to contribute this semester as an editor.
