Briggs is a senior from Charleston, South Carolina, double-majoring in Political Science and French Language with minors in History and East Asian Studies. After serving as the Americas Desk editor (Spring 2024) and the Africa and the Middle East Desk editor (Fall 2024-Spring 2025), Briggs is excited to continue his involvement with The Pendulum as Editor-in-Chief (Fall 2025-Present). He is a member of the Clemson creative inquiry group Every Campus is A Refuge (ECAR) and is a Clemson Writing Fellow in the university's Writing Lab. He loves spending time with friends, discovering new places, listening to Michael Jackson, and hiking.

COLE KINLEY

Cole is a junior from Anderson, South Carolina, majoring in History and Political Science. Before being selected as Associate Editor-in-Chief, Cole served as Europe Desk editor, where he was fascinated by the political dynamics of Western democracies, and their effects on various international organizations, such as NATO and the EU. Cole looks forward to his upcoming year as an editor, and hopes to support writers in developing strong articles, while also expanding his own understanding of global politics. During his second year at Clemson, he also plans to complete his honors thesis. In his spare time, Cole enjoys reading, fishing, and watching Clemson Football.

Ava is a sophomore from Apex, North Carolina majoring in Graphic Communications. Her interest in The Pendulum stems from her passion for visual communication as it serves to bridge the gap between diverse cultural experiences. As Layout Editor, Ava hopes to provide an efficient platform for which the complexities of international affairs can be analyzed to their greatest potential. She particularly enjoys learning about historical perspectives and engaging in community service. In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography, and being creative! Ava is looking forward to her first collegiate travel abroad experience over the summer and hopes to practice global mindfulness.

Tulsi is a junior from Simpsonville, South Carolina. She is a Philosophy: Medicine, Health, and Human Values major with minors in Public Policy and the Life Sciences. Tulsi became interested in The Pendulum because of her interest in analyzing global healthcare systems and immersive travel experiences, which allowed her to compare international affairs and the effects of globalization. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and engaging in other involvements on campus. She is excited to work with the magazine's writers and grow the Pendulum's outreach on campus!

Gabriel is a Junior Political Science and Philosophy double major from Wake Forest, North Carolina. He currently serves as the Latin America Desk Editor. He was inspired to pursue the study of politics and philosophy by his diplomat mother. Before calling Clemson, South Carolina, his home, he lived in Latin America for a combined 10 years before moving to the United States. In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys driving, hanging out with friends, and playing sports.

SARAH LEGARÉ SMITH

Sarah Legaré is a junior from Charleston, South Carolina. She is majoring in Graphic Communications and minoring in Architecture and Horticulture. Originally, Sarah Legaré was inspired to apply for The Pendulum because of a childhood dream to work for a magazine; she also recognizes that a lot of what she wants her future career to be starts with layout and design. As a Graphics Editor, she hopes to gain more experience in the world of combining writing with art as well as learning more about designing for a specific audience. In her spare time, Sarah Legaré enjoys anything arts and crafts related, loves to listen to music, and takes part in a few other on-campus involvements! She is so excited to get to work on The Pendulum and cannot wait to push the final product of this edition out to her friends and family!

Gabby is a sophomore from New York majoring in Graphic Communications. Drawn to design and print work from an early age, she was excited to join The Pendulum as a way to combine her interests in media, literature, and creative expression. Through her role as a Contributing Graphics Editor, she hopes to bring visual stories to life while strengthening her skills in design and communication. Gabby is also a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta. Outside of her academic and creative pursuits, she enjoys spending time outdoors, creating social media content, and relaxing with family and friends.
